BIRTHDAY 2025

Another year of CCN0? Crazy, I know. I thought I would've given up on the internet, but many major things have happened! You might be surprised by what I'm working on right now, and even more surprised how little I did with my projects I announced last year. Anyways, lets talk about the 5th year in CCN0!

Domain Name??

That's right! the website has gone through a few changes, mainly its now located at ccn0.net and not a GitHub Pages domain! the blog was also moved to blog.ccn0.net. I've also done some work on making my website and project more accessible and friendlier to use and view. My SEO has gotten a lot better over this last year, and many styles and changes are being made to make sure its fun to use this site and not just a pain in the ass.

Things??

Brand new things! CCN0TEPAD has a new sibling, Programmable Notepad, and a select menu that will be available later this week. Also, a search engine, and much more news!

SearchPlusPREMIUM????

That's right, ccn0 made a search engine! using the power of symbols, you can use any search engine, by just using one! check her out here, and follow the instructions for setting it as default. If you really want search suggestions, you can use the URL https://duckduckgo.com/ac/?q=%s&type=list for the API, where %s is the query.

Programmable Notepad

Imagine a notepad you can write programs with, run commands, grab files from the web, and even save/load files! Programmable Notepad is a new version of Notepad that I've been working on, ever since I dropped Notepad Win (which will keep being maintained) and its upgrades and features. It might come out later this year, but I'm trying not to make promises! Also adding it to the things page as well very soon.

GlobalClocks?

Yes, GlobalClocks is being deprecated soon. I'm working on a brand new clock thing, so stay tuned for that

Soundlets Plus!!

Soundlets Plus has had a bunch of updates recently, namely you don't need long long URLs and only need to host it somewhere its allowed to reach! just use the new URL parameters ?url= to grab something from the web, and ?json= if your stuck in the past.

April Fools??

Here's a quote from past me:

i am working on an april fools joke as of writing this, but i may have overestimated my capabilities, so this might be next years! sorry ai lovers...

Unfortunately, my plans and development of this year's April Fools joke was way too ambitious, and time-consuming to work on. It may end up coming out for next year, but who knows for sure.

Bluesky??

I have jump shipped from Mastodon, rest in peace. we are now on bluesky, @ccn0.net! It was also one of the reasons I got ccn0.net in the first place. I think this platform will let me get more attention hopefully, I'm still not sure if anyone is reading these.

What's next?

I am working on many new projects (and the ones from last year), things, and I'm planning on being a little more active on social media as well.

CCN0 and my other related projects will continue to grow in scope until I finally decide to give up the internet finally, but until then, I'm still gonna be maintaining my website, and all of the things I've made. Don't expect me to continuisly be active on the internet, I have taken several breaks (knowingly and unknowingly), but I wanna try to be more active anyways. Thanks for reading, and also being dumb enough to read all of this, again.

P.S. the CCN0 website will receive a new look very soon...

Welcome to CCN0.net

For years, you've had to type 14 characters to go to the CCN0 website, but now, thanks to revolutionary new technologies, you can visit ccn0.net to use all of the original pages.

What about the blog? Guess what? Look up. That's right, the CCN0 Blog can now be visited at blog.ccn0.net.

The future of the CCN0 website

CCN0 and AwfulEarth are now progressing into an era where things that formerly were impossible for me are now available and easy. Stay tuned for new projects and other news.

It will take a while for search engines to learn about the change, and a while for me to fix hardcoded links that still use .github.io or .blogspot.com, but for now, I'm happy CCN0 is now at a real domain and not just a GitHub page. It still is but, you know what they say.

Progress on Projects

This is just a quick update on the progress on projects that were (or were not) mentioned in the CCN0's 4th birthday announcements. Keep in mind I have no obligation to finish any of these projects and that development speed is unpredictable.

Terter

Terter was successfully updated and finished and should be finished for now. it is currently on v0.1.5, and has support for wildcards, deleting/editing URLs, and more.

GlobalClocks

GlobalClocks is currently being refactored into a different project, with more features. GlobalClocks' countdowns, countups, and embeds should and will work in the time being, and any existing clocks will continue to function even after the GlobalClocks successor is released or finished.

Screensaver

Screensaver is not being worked on as of now, but will be released sometime in 2025.

CCN0TEBOOK

CCN0TEBOOK is being optimized, as every feature is currently working with the renderer but the HTML plugin or modern editor is still being conceived. Expect this early 2025.

CCN0.GitHub.io

The website was updated to the new design and any pages that contain the old CSS will be fixed as they become issues.

Games

Nexploration 2 is being conceived and will probably take a while to get into testing. Other games are being conceived but nothing can be said about them until they are done.

CCanvasEngine

Any CCanvasEngine development has stopped and a new engine with better features and more options will be released eventually.

Multitaxes

Multitaxes has stepped down from the lofty goals I had for it a while back, it is currently being optimized and a design language is being developed. Don't expect it to release anytime soon, but it is being developed.

Conclusion

I can announce any number of projects, just don't have any anticipation for them releasing at a normal pace. I've worked on a lot of side projects which have come out, but I will be taking a break throughout October. I also want to branch out from just the CCN0 name.

arry's stuff is dead. RE: It's back.

The arry's stuff blog has been killed.

I have made the (not very) difficult decision to shut down arry's stuff. It was basically updates on my projects on a personal level. To be entirely honest, I don't really want to update it. It's ugly, old, and stupid. Most of my online presence is CCN0 anyways. So, the end. I might bring it back when I make it look good, or I fix it.

RE: It's back.

I have revamped arry's stuff into just the arryorsomething blog. No clue what to do with it for now, no essays have been written.

There is now a rAdBOX on the blog.

Yes, you might see a rAd for the blog while your on the blog. No I do not care much.

It was placed there to bring attention to other projects from my site.

rAdBOX may be updated in the future, so stay tuned for that.

I am also debating even showing off how to make your own rAdBOX because I hate ads.

My Final Patch Conundrum

Some exposition, I have many projects. Like Un-humble, Nexploration, Roomer, and a lot more. Here's the thing, most of these projects have a final patch that just never released. The final patches fix major bugs, and clean up the game forever. I just have no idea how to update them all at once. Un-humble is like 2 years old now, and I don't want to necro-update(?) something and regenerate traction for a dead project. Roomer has a mobile update and other fixes update right now. Nexploration has the final patch which fixes dying during the credits and adds a whole lot of stuff. Un-humble literally fixes the games issues and it just probably won't be released. No clue what to do so yeah. Wordle Forever is still being worked on though.

Theme

The previous blog theme hurt my eyes, so I have changed it to a more relaxed dark grey.

SearchPlusPREMIUM is splitting from CCN0 Things

SearchPlusPREMIUM has been a very useful CCN0 Thing, especially in comparison to other Things I've made. But having to update it while I...
